You could count me in for the 20.  Something to disperse the crowd at Poison Creek.

I could send it to Tackle Tom to! However you want to do it but it'd sure be nice if it was open

We are estimating ~$250 each time to get stonebreaker  plowed. This is by no means a done deal. The parks are just starting to talk to bureau of Rec, but I think everyone involved wants a long term solution.

It seems like their missing out on a lot of revenue by not keeping it open!

Just add 5 bucks to the cost of our fishing licenses to pay for it.

Why do they not add this to the other campgrounds that get plowed...like Poison?

The past few years it would have only been $250. I always wanted to thank the snow plow driver for keeping church camp plowed out for all these years.

This is always a hot topic at work and I just don't get it.  I can't believe that the local businesses haven't figured out how to make this happen years ago.  Their pay back would probably be 10 fold.  And why does Park and Rec give parking tickets in a place they don't even keep open.  If they'd keep it open they'd get $5 a car to pay for plowing.

Exactly!  We pay all summer.  If you pay to have it plowed, they'll charge you to park.  Gubermint at its finest.

I don't think that the area around sugar loaf is controlled by parks and rec. I think it's BLM due to the bird sanctuary.

Everybody already pays $5 a day to park add another 1 time $5 or $10 per year for each vehicle get a sticker put it in your window I think the volume of vehicles going in and out of there during the ice fishing season should cover it I'd hope! It seems like we are always paying for something but it makes it nice not having to go to Poison!

Not sure who oversees the sanctuary but the facilities are ran by IP&R.

A group of us are up here now.  Talked to Tom.  We'll toss in $$ to see this happen.  Amazing the state is loosing on this as they'd easily recoup with the $5 fee.

I just read that in 2011 the fishery on Cascade was estimated to be around 11 million dollars and they can't plow one key road!

I have never understood why the county won't plow it, did someone check with them, they have to be cheaper then granite construction. Sounds like nobody wants to claim responsibility for anything. Imagine that.

one this road is not county or park on rec . it is bureau of reclamation road and not sure what the cost to have plowed . I just trying to see if we can work and help with open it. the money you pay to park or buy the sticker is for park fee to get in and use it. please see if we work to help this happen and will try to get info from the agency's working on this . will post as thing and info comes up.
