Just came back from Dief, lots of fog all the way there and back but not on the lake.
It was pretty quiet on the N end, only saw 4 people in total all day. (One small jack and one whitey) I was by the East Pumphouse where there was 10 inches of ice. Farther out it looks scary, lots of broken ice that refroze and I have never heard ice make such crazy sounds, very lound and trembling. Fishing was slow, only saw 2 rainbows and 2 whitefish, I lost one rainbow at the hole, so I came home skunked. I was using small spoons with power bait, they seemed interested but not enough around for an exciting day. It was nice out, no wind and even a little melting on the ice!
I hope next week fishing picks up, so far not that great around the toon!
