you got to hate it.
« on: Jul 05, 2014, 05:56 PM »
Just bought a new truck a few months ago. The other day had to go to the doctors office for a test.  Came home and park the truck in garage. It sat in garage for 2 days because I use the other car to run around. Well the third day I went in the garage and guess what, the side that I did not see the fender has a big dent it. The only place I was, was at the doctor office. No cameras or no one seen a thing. Now the truck will be fix with ins-but, deduct is out of my pocket. Hit and Run, what a beautiful thing for the ^*&%$#$^%$# to get away with!!!

Thank's for letting me blow a little steam out!!!

That sucks big time.  It seems like when you get a new vehicle every idiot is trying to crash into you.

Happened to me last summer. I went to the hospital lab and gave them a blood sample. Walked back to my truck 10 minutes later and drove home. The next morning my grandson asked me what had happened. One side of my TOWTECTOR was bent back and the body of the truck behind the right rear wheel had been scuffed up. These jerks don't have the nads to leave a note with their information for you. It's getting to the point a person should have $50 deductible since we are always paying for damage done by some gutless wonder. >:(

someone backed into our 2 week old odyssey in a parking lot a long time ago.  took a chunk of paint off the corner of the back bumper.  after settling down a bit, was happy to get the first dent of the way.  now i could just relax.

And then you have the knotheads that park too close to your rig and whack it with their door when the get out or in.

How about the shopping cart missiles?

I always try to park as defensively as I can and generally far out in the lot to avoid the congestion of people trying to park close to the build as they can, seems to help.

I hear ya!!! That is just what I do. I parked out in the middle of the lot so no one was around me. So much for that!  How I will park on the edged so they can not drive around me and hope that works again.

This goes both ways as far as door dings go. I have crappy vehicles that I don't care if they get door dinged or not but I still try to park out of the crowd just for the simple fact you always get some idiot that leaves you a foot of space to get into your vehicle. Being on the larger side its not fun to squeeze into a vehicle. But I always find it hilarious that some people will go buy a brand new vehicle and then go and park the fore-mentioned foot away from pile of junk rust buckets and then complain when they get door dings. There's a lot of special kind of stupid going around these days haha

That's happened to me. The nut-less idiots probably didn't have any insurance. Lucky for them, I didn't catch them or I would have shot them! ;)

That sucks.   Ever notice, in a huge parking lot, you can park far away from anyone, and when you come out, ONE idjit in a '89 rustbucket with 3 hubcaps parked 2" away from your door??  :%$#!:

I was parked at a restaurant having coffee with some friends.

Some one says you truck is backing up. Sure enough it was.

Some jack wagon did not  have enough room in the space in front of me so he just pushed my pickup backwards. Luckily it was a stick or he probably would have broke the parking lug off in the tranny if it was an automatic.

He came in as I was leaving so I thanked him for being an idiot. He just looked at me as he probably did not even realize what he did but he got room to park.

The guy parked behind me went out with me to move his vehicle as the guy had pushed me tight against his and I could not have gotten out of my now shortened space.
