I think the best part in this video is me diving down a hole up to my shoulder to attempt grabbing a pike after the line broke.
Ice Fishing for Pike with the Windlass Tipus is one of my favorite things to do, well anything fishing related is though. I think its the possibility of catching a big fish that gets me all excited. This is one of the lakes I enjoy going to since if feels wild and you have the chance to catch one of those nice pike. Maybe not the greatest numbers, but there are a few fish around. Headed out with my mom and got set up around noon earlier in March. Caught a couple nice pike and a couple smaller ones. Also had a bunch of dropped baits... I guess we'll never know how big those ones were. All fish caught on Windlass Tip Up and got one on the rod with a slender spoon.
Maybe I'll go back in the spring and try the open water out.
