Anyone Still Fishing?

Think I am done.  Had a large ice pile on my deck and the rain, wind and temps yesterday reduced that ice pile to nearly nothing.  That pile had survived previous warmups and rain with little to no change, but yesterday nearly wiped it out completely.  I have not checked but I am thinking it did a number on any lakes with ice too.  Not worth taking a swim for.  Plenty of fish to catch when they open up.

I was out wednesday and all was still well.  Im hoping to get out another time yet, but wont know until i see the ice.  This time of year i dont decide until i hit it with my spud.

I think I'm done. Time to switch gears for me. Headed down to Florida next week to do some offshore fishing.

Drove by fox lake on angola today along west fox lake rd, thought I saw a shanty on the opposite side of the lake but couldnt tell for sure. Ice looked thick on lakes up that way that didn't have moving water in them but could tell water was high and not all shore lines were looking tight. I won't be making it out, don't even have time to try. If you go be careful!

Got back from Alabama last Tues and wanted to get on the ice one last time, but didn't think there was any good ice left.  Heard reports of sylvan but all ive caught out of there was dinks.  Would love to get out one more time but not sure if its worth the chance of getting wet.

I just got back from a day trip to New Hampshire and saw three guys out on a pond on one side of the road and the Atlantic Ocean on the other side.  Everything around Boston has opened up.  Waiting to get home middle of next week and get the long rods out.  Couple of buddies back home are scoping things out for me.
