We had an AWESOME DAY TODAY.

Didn't look very promising heading out due to the new snow creating more slush(5 inches in 15 inches of snow).  But it turned out pretty good reguardless.  Lake trout feast awaits.  A larger trout was trying to steel the lure out of the 34 inchers mouth.  I'm going back to this no-name lake and fish the no-name bay again!!
34 inches at 13 lbs.  The other weighed 11.5 lbs.  One is going to feed 2 families tonight!! 



Just making up for the 4 times being skunked lately.

It tasted great.  Butter, salt & pepper. 
The -20 temp made for a slow sled trip.  I have never had so much ice build up on the line as it did this morning. 
Going to have to find different boots that are waterproof, what with all the water on top of the ice.  Wet feet in -20C is not good.  The adrenaline from catching some fish kept me warm. 
Awake at 4;30am and not on the ice till 8 am.  Home by 11am.  Priceless 
nap from 2 till almost 4 "required"
