What are you targeting? The only fish I've ever caught at night thru the ice were walleye calico and cats. Oh and I guess rock bass as well but only at coventry when looking for eyes

Have fished twice this season off the beach. Set up by 3pm and fished couple hours after dark. Caught pan fish and trout before sunset and not a nibble after dark.

Yeah, I'm still trying to catch that elusive walleye. I'm not sure of best locations to try as my attempts have not yielded an eye

If you wanna catch a walleye you're best bet is probably coventry. If you're going for quality not quantity, I'd say Gardner.

I fished Squantz 2 times at night for eyes, no luck this year. Along with the day time, I was not even marking them on the sonar. They had the jig and pig derby this winter and not one eye was caught I heard.

rules at nite are basically the same. Put glow tape or lights on traps so you can see if flag up. Fish shallow for eyes ,sometimes 3' of water. Be quiet at nite. Good luck

What do you mean by this? The rules are the same. Its just dark out! Also make sure you follow the rules... I got visited by DEEP at almost 10 PM on Gardner earlier this year.

Now that i have a hub, this sounds more and more appealing to me.
I night fish in open water a lot so I guess this is just a natural progression.
I have to get a heater and LED lights first and I want a green light to use.
