All I said is don't use a vex just like the subject asked ,but that must be hard for some people to understand. Huckster any time you want to fish with me shoot me a PM I try to make it , and Chez thank you no don't think I'd want to fish with you .

We SLAYED THEM TODAY. Fish 12:30 till 6:30 and left with 37 Bulls from  8"-9.5 " and  11 nice crappie 10.5-12.5 " and YES THE VEX RULES,.Water dirty, shoreline rotting, ice still 10-11" clear and solid,15 fow, fish anywhere in the water column from 6 foot down to bottom, yes where not lazy, hole hopped the whole time, yes we can afford a VEX,yes my son and I love and use them. I don't sit on a bucket and drink beer all day and RELAX we fish hard and are very successful, yes fishing is work, yes my freezer looking better every day. Yes I hope that ALL THE ANTI VEXER NEVER BUY ONE. Yes KOV69 you left a little to early the crappies turned on but all sizes from 4"-12.5"  VLAD ON ICE,glad you liked the Marcum and slayed them on Latonka. One thing I would like to tell you Latonka is a FABULOUS FISHERY and Raccoon isn't.I never pass and invite to Latonka nice perch lake . Good fishing to all no matter HOW YOU DO IT. I've got go time to charge my VEX. lol

Good post Cap!  Looks like you had an awesome day on the ice.  Good point on Latonka vs Racdoon.  The choice of the fishery makes all the difference in the world.  Although, I think having a flasher would have helped a little in finding more productive areas on Raccoon.  Like you Cap, if my buddy extends in invitation to fish Latonka, I won't even blink an eye and head right up there.

Yes  Captian 54  I kind of knew  when I got off the ice  the bite was going to get better ...but had things to do  fish to Clean and places to go... I did  have  fun  seeing. 4 to 5  fish  go after the baits on the drop.. The fishing was getting  good as the water color changed   But as we saw. There were some dead holes.  And we know. Fish were only 5 feet a way in the next hole... With out our vex we would not know that. Fishing. 15  feet of water  and the. Fish charged at 10. Some time  on the drop and some times  as we pulled up from the bottom color. Change...the jig. Has most of the paint off. From yesterday on a great bite....but it was a great time with Captian 54  and his  son ....only the  3 of us there .... Lime green yellow...with wax. Was the bait of choice. For the dayllll like I told you Cap ....the bite was going to get beater ...but  you know the story should  of been here yesterday  you left to early and so on,,,,lol ...just fishing. ...and  yes. No Vex ...would  of been a slow day in the stained water...

Just got my first vex. I chose the least expensive entry level vex 8se genz pack. It is very cool to be able to see how the fish reacts to what your lure is doing and you almost know right when their coming to eat it.

PLEASE DON"T BUY A VEX, Spend all your money on other things "that will get you fish, bait, jigs, tip-ups ,augers ,gas and travel time, rods reels, sleds ,shanty's and all the rests. You guy's can buy 300 of those little lead sounders (old school VEX"S I think there about a buck a piece) but PLEASE DON"T BUY A MACHINE,and to those that do,many full buckets and years of SLAYING THEM. What's that saying about you can't beat a dead horse. You guy's kill me,please fish old school, and let this topic DIE . I've got a pile of fish the clean. lol NEXT WEEK LATONKA BOUND,I'm already thinking of my jumbo perch dinner. I'll post no more, this topic it's DEAD!

Gentlemen:
How has a subject intended to be discussed by informal logic,
turned into a belligerency?

How has it become convoluted, and poisoned with misleading rhetoric? Like
some TV news station's that make up their own facts, and then calls them premises,
that become organized  in their discussions, only by the use of fallacies?

My contention is, is that FishHuckster did not approach this audience
with malicious intent,  that is, not to form a platform for battle..
I do believe he invited respondents to stand on the soapbox of reply,
and speak their views on the subject.

He asked "To vex, or not to vex"
"To vex" asks a question, of why you do that, in a positive sense
"not to vex" asks the same question, in a negative sense.

But like Hamlet, he suffered
"The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune"
And so decided for a while to-
"(Or) to take arms against a sea of troubles"

Until he ended up speaking to Yuroks scull about the vile effects
of his query. And then asked "to be (here) or not to be here?
Then bowed out ("I'm done")(not to be here, beaten by rumor.

A victim of inference objection, and unmitigated contention.

I'm also done with this thread, as it has gone where it was not intended.
Stay on top

you do know that the huckster was the first person to insult the people that opinion differed from his.  he basically said in his first post, that if you use a vex to fish with you are not a real ice fisherman.

He brought it on himself

everybody pretty much answered back to his statement.

Over 100 fish each...great tool...you know the fish are there but you have to make them bite....and I do have a hummingbird. Fish  finder on mt bass boat for open water,,,and use my flasher at times  foe perhaps or crappie on open water....any one can go fishing  but more fun. Catching...tight lines. Be safe  on lakes with the rain we had ...getting on and off....use care...
