Maybe I'm Not Meant To Own a Striker Suit
« on: Feb 19, 2014, 03:22 PM »
Well I've been eying up the striker hardwater suit for the whole season, and my fiance decided to spoil me for my birthday by getting me the striker hardwater bibs, we both work at mcdonalds so she said she'd get me the first half and I had to get the jacket. She went to a store in Wisconsin who dealed striker and they didn't have the bibs in stock so she had them order them and be shipped to our house in Michigan (this was 3 weeks before my birthday so she could be sure I would get them in time). After a week without receiving them she calls the store and their reply was "Oh we're sorry we thought you wanted us to order them on Feb 18th (which is my birthday)." She said no and had them order them then. Now we wait for 2 more weeks, finally a day after my birthday I receive them. Open up the bag and it's the wrong pair of bibs, the invoice was correct but the product was wrong. Shoulda gone frabill.

Tell me and I'll forget. Show me and I'll remember some of it. Involve me and I will have lifetime knowledge.

Don't feel alone! Years ago I ordered a pair of green Johnson wool pants from Cabela's. When the package arrived, it had a pair of "HOT PINK" stretch pants in it. I don't think it was shipped that way; the package looked like it had been opened and then resealed with tape, so I would assume that someone along the line stole the wool pants.
It could be worse!

No problems with my Arctic Armor, was on my doorstep the third day after I ordered it and the box contained everything exactly like it was supposed to be.

You will be happy when they arrive. I love my bibs, every aspect of them. Be sure to read up on their features, or you will miss things only they offer. I couldn't find the cup/car holder until I saw that it hides inside a pocket. Pant legs are adjustable etc.

Changed my middle name to "You should have been here yesterday".         Remember it's called fishing, not catching.

So let me get this straight.  You blame Striker for the retailer's error?  Really?

Call the retailer, speak with CS, and get it resolved.

I don't see how Frabill factors in.

BTW, I'm a satisfied Hardwater owner -- bibs and jacket.  You'll love the product.

Their rod cases are pretty damn nice too.  Except for the pull tabs...

I got my striker from pro fishing supply. In 4-days was here in the mail. They were real good to work with.

That's frustrating, but Striker makes good stuff.  I'd call them directly!

Worth the peace of mind for a floating suit that is ultra warm

As convenient as online shopping is it can be rough... I got the wrong tip up line this fall... still used it but it was disappointing
