A lot of advertising on WCAX, for this tournament.  Good Luck, to those, who will be there, from this website.  I will be in the tournament, but I won't be going to the dinner.

Good luck to everyone. No dinner for me either. Me and my buddies are just going for the fun of fishing partying and pretty much having a good time fishing. And who knows maybe we will get a big perch or walleye.

Well, went up to Memphremagog today, but no, I wasn't out in South-bay.  I was with my sister and nephew.  Got out early, set up and my sister and nephew, jigged up, some smelt.  My nephew, kepted getting flags, but no one home.  I started to get a couple of flags.  So, I would run to them and the spools would, just be a ripping out line.  In ten feet of water.  Well, what ever it was it took the bait, to the bottom, and it got hooked up, on tree branches.  So, I put out a new tip-up, with a minnow.  Less than 4 minutes later, flag goes up again.  I run over, set the hook.  Well, it broke off!  So, got another tip-up out, etc.  After losing 7 baits, with a few hooks, finally saw, bubbles coming up from the hole.  I think, the thief, was a water critter. ;D Probley a mink or otter.  Ha, ha, ha.  Anyone else, ever have this happen to them, while ice fishing?  I was next to a small island.  Well, I am not sure if I am going out tomorrow, as it was kind of hard to get out, to where we were today,  with snow already on the ice.  :'(

Thats funny as heck if it was an otter or mink. At least you were getting some sort of action.four of us on carmi yesterday had a grand total of six perch and a couple small northerns. Hope it was because of the front coming through. The biggest perch was 1.2lbs. Try try again I guess. It beats working.

Hope it's weather related, because carmi has been dead the last couple days and nights.

Carmi will shut right off with too much pressure fishing pressure.
It's always been that way.

Yup, it's that way in the summer too.

I went up there with a friend a few years back on a Friday morning.  We had no idea Wrights had Carmi was on the list of open lakes.  We got there before daylight and there were headlights pointing in every direction.  It ended up being our slowest day up there on the ice to date.

Wright's said that there would be a Facebook page, for people to see the daily weigh-in.  I couldn't find it. ???  I went for the door prizes and glanced at the board and saw the individuals, come up for there trophy's and money.  Then they had the door prizes.  Ron, called out a few peoples names, but then his sister, took over.  I saw her, take two registration slips, look at them, then put them down, never called the individual names.  Sorryful! :o  I did go to there website, but it didn't have anything updated, for this year, yesterday.

If I wanted to go thru the hassle of posting pics I would , it can't be too rigged I know guys who place every year and have no officiation with wrights at all.
That's usually just an excuse people who can't win make ...

I'd say the guys saying its rigged are ...if you don't want to enter , move along instead of making excuses

2 different issues nina. Door prizes and fishing. But never heard of anyone chaining fish under the ice before the derby

According to my bait guy , willoughby cracked and is a big mess .
He says its been slow with the mess and all the snow this week and he's only seen 2 guys and I was one of them...
So not sure what he meant by mess but he said there was water all over and guys weren't bothering

Camo what do you mean? I pulled my shack out there sunday... there was some water on the ice, did a crack form near the launch? that would really screw my plans up lol.

I honestly don't know , just what my bait guy told me so I figured I'd give you a heads up.
I didn't have plans to go there at least until the weekend and I was in a hurry so I didn't ask but there has to be some truth in it somewhere because that's where most guys that get bait there , fish.
Maybe someone that lives closer can elaborate ....
