Where to fish on lake Winnipeg?

Hey so I heard that guys are limiting out on lake winnipeg within walking distance out on the lake. I was just wondering where this would be considering I have no clue where to go. Would anyone be able to give me directions from Winnipeg on where to go? Or even just a name of the place so I can search it on maps. Thanks

You can only walk? Walking is very limited I wouldn't. Deep snow to walk and a long time.

My cousin had told me they were out there and they limited out. They were by some permanent shacks within walking distance out. We have a truck but I heard the snow is pretty deep. I know they would have been on a southern part of the lake I just don't know where. My cousin refuses to give me directions because he says he can't explain it. Lol I might just have to hit up Lockport or something...

These fish don't stay in one area.... They are constantly moving, following the baitfish. On them one day, barren wasteland the next.
