Too much snow! Derby time!

Hope we don't get too much snow , plan on bringing the 4 wheeler with plow , plow my way on and road to my tip-ups! Hopefully have time to fish and have a good time catching some smelt for bait! Bring it on! Probably ought to put extensions on for the flags.

One year for the derby, I saw someone use a snowblower to clear all their lines for their tipups.  That plan back fired when they drilled their holes and all of their paths flooded due to the weight of the snow on the ice.  You were better off packing down a trail on that day.

NBC'S AL Roker says Rutland , Vt will get the most snow - 16 inches!!!!!!!!!!! Hope he's wrong! Who ever makes the largest snowman wins this derby! Good luck.

A day to remember yesterday with all that snow and slush on the bottom. Nice day for fishing though as the smelt were about the only thing biting. Had neighboring kids in a party that came over and took turns using my flasher , they had a blast catching the smelt! Yup my legs are burning from yesterday but am headed off to the Bomo derby again , everything should be frozen today. Good luck to ya all!
