rod and reel

What rod and reel would you recommend for crappie/pan fish? Don't want to break the bank but want one that will last me a little while too. Thanks

any will work,im all about price/quality. spring bobber a must have,good drag a plus,gotta be able to set the hook but not tear their mouths.gander mountain in robinson might have some left

I agree with Moe any rod will work as long as it has a good spring bobber.  I use all 24-28 medium light noodle style ice rods with various style of spring bobbers depending on lure weight.

spring bobber absolutely.there are other post on how to install a Stcroix bobber on other rods on here if you search and I feel its the best spring bobber by far.and you don't want to go to stiff on the rod cause you want some bend in it just like open water rods.

Keep an eye on St Croix's website. Last year they put legends($50-$60) rods on clearance cheap. They are nice rods, with spring bobber built in.
