Amen brother!

Fishing should be the exercise of your skills- and its rewards the places it brings you to

One will be a much happier and far more successful fisherman if one focuses on the positive and the opportunities available.

"Shut up and fish."

my honest opinion is why do certain people got to be so ungrateful to the Nebraska game an parks? they are the reason we have some great ponds/lakes to fish in or on. If you are going to complain about how bad it is in Nebraska then don't buy a fishing license for Nebraska an go fish in a different state if its so much better. I was born an raised in Kansas within an hour or less from lovewell an glen elder. since I have lived in Nebraska have had a much better experience fishing. Don't get me wrong though I love to fish in Kansas but would much rather fish in Nebraska just cause its where I live now. If anybody thinks they can do daryls job better than him then apply for the job an see what it brings you. Daryl don't worry about the guys that just wana complain casue I think you are doing a fine job.

I love a good rant! Especially when the person ranting knows what they're talking about! You go Daryl!

The parks division of the NGPC could learn some lessons from surrounding states, but the fisheries division has nothing to apologize for.

As someone who lived most of my life in SD and MN before moving to NE 12 years ago, I was initially frustrated by the lack of fishing opportunities in large reservoirs in eastern NE. Then I decided to take Daryl's advice and "shut up and fish." I took a step back and soon discovered that many unique fishing opportunities existed in NE that were not available to me in SD or MN. In some cases (panfish) the fishing was just as good, and in other cases (bass) the fishing was far better.

One will be a much happier and far more successful fisherman if one focuses on the positive and the opportunities available.

"Shut up and fish."

Exactly!
