I just signed up for this forum.  Bought an auger.  I've been out a couple of times, only one fish (not as big as whiskey's)  Dad is here now, but we won't get a chance to get out- his gear is in your shed-  and I'm working...  but if I wasn't working we'd probably need the gear.  Dad says you got a 3 and a half pounder...  sweet.

Hey Bro, glad to see you finally signed up. We should try and plan an icefishing weekend somewhere in the Caribou. Maybe late Jan/early Feb. I'm still working on the pics from the weekend. Should be soon. Don't forget to sign up for the iceshanty derby.

I'm looking in my daytimer as I type this. I do believe I can fit Saturday into my hectic schedule.
Whiskey will be here any minute. We're going to check out mud lake or scout for some ice out Vanderhoof way.

Should be killer times out by the big lake . But take some ice picks. The sooner you can get on there, the better the fishing. Call back lake should be good too with lots of ice.

7-11 sells it cheap. $1.99 for cubes.

After spending thousands of dollars in ice we manage to brave the lake known as Clan...  We beached two monsters and released two half way up!
The two we managed to winch through the holes were 3lbs..... if you added them together... and then added taxes... and then added trophy fee... and then added.. tips.
But all in all we were the first to fish clan and we did not get skunked.
Whoo hooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pitbell & I went to the baldwins today. The ice was making scary noises under our feet so we screamed like school girls and retreated back to the truck. We went to the estates where the ice was safer. We landed 1 fish after about an hour of jigging.
If the weather stays warm we'll be hooped....

We want to head there Fri am but down a little from the baldwins. How thick was the ice there. The estates are usually an inch er two thicker.
