« on: Feb 02, 2014, 08:42 PM »
hit the gills pretty good today on hamilton.  me and the ol man had about 60 on the ice in about 3 hours.  even got em all clean before kick off.  the bite was really lite fish were really finicky.  but man were they shallow  most of em were about 2 feet bellow the ice in 12 feet of water.  i swear i thought i had one gonna swim out my hole watchin it on the vex.

That's how technology has changed fishing. Would you have ever fished that shallow without a locator?

honestly ya i would.   even before i got my vex ever since i hammered some crappies one year lettin my line back in by hand.  i never just fished up off bottom.  its always been find bottom with clip on depth finder set it on my reel then one foot at a time drop it down jiggle jiggle jiggle sit for a min repeat til i find em,  but yes you are right digital depth finders have really changed my game since aquireing one, i try not to depend on it as much as i do but its just so hard not to.
