Check your boots for leaks before you go
could make for a miserable and short trip if they leak

And then some....don't worry about 40 degrees....start worrying when you see 60!

You'd be surprised how resilient that ice is....I love march ice fishing....60/65 degrees T-shirt and great perch fishing! A lot of people think a few warm days will hurt the ice but not so much...you still need to be careful once that ice starts honeycombing....

This little warm spell on Saturday will actually probably help the ice out in the long run.  The 40 degree and a little rain will melt the insulating snow and then give the ice a chance to grow when it drops below freezing again.

I won't be out this weekend, but looking forward to fishing on Monday in almost 40° weather. Better than 0° and 35 mph. winds...
