pike pointers???
« on: Jan 13, 2014, 08:48 PM »
Hey.  I'm a fairly dedicated pike fisherman from north central Nebraska.   We have nice pike here but looking for something exceptional.  Always hearing about oahe pike topping 20+   that would be good for me and a couple friends for now.  Any pointers or anyone want to get together. I would love take a trip north.

Fishing should be the exercise of your skills- and its rewards the places it brings you to

Just drill a hole on bitter.  One should flop out eventually.  I think they outnumber freshwater shrimp there.

The SDGFP has good data that can be reviewed ... as a starting point on quantity and size of Pike netted this summer ...

According to this information 6 mile lake would be best odds for largest size and quantity for east side of the state .... I believe similar info can be had for he river

Bitter seems solid as well as Boji mentioned here is the data to support it ....

Six mile is full of small pike. Nothing too huge. Inbox me if you havent been up this way yet.
