3/16" short of $200

Fished a derby today and had the biggest crappie and gill with 5 MINUTES left to check your fish and ended up coming up a combined 3/16" short. Had a decent day despite the tough bite. Would have won hands down if you could have weighed top 5 or combined weight. Ended up with a good mess of fish and had a great time.

Nice fish and nice pics!!!  Too bad you didn't win.  I couldn't make it and had no time to look for a spot on friday due to work and vehicle issues.  I didn't make it on the ice today until about 3 pm when you guys were wrapping it up.  I should have stayed home as the bite was not good this afternoon for me.

That sucks!I was there first half had nothing then found em and loaded the bucket.No big ones though 8.75" gill and my one crappie was 10"

Thanks wax. The bite was not great this morning either. It was sporadic and they came in waves. Fish were in 17/18 fow and suspended 5-8 below the ice. I didnt fish the wawasee tourney, it was a derby at a rod and gun club. There were about 75 guys though.

Nice fish.  I know the feeling of heartbreak coming up just short at weigh in as well but still looks like a good day on the ice to me

I know. If the tail on that crappie wasn't so ragged I would have had it.
