suckers and smelts in the same cooler?

Anybody have problems keeping smelts and suckers in the same cooler, it would only be for about 48 hrs, I had a bad experience with chubs and emerald shiners.... http://www.iceshanty.com/ice_fishing/Smileys/default/shocked.gif

The suckers can't be big at all. They'll thrash your smelt....

Sometimes i will mix smelts with shiners in a bucket to conserve space for the day bringing what i think i will need.   If you have good smelts not a problem but don't expect longevity.  In other words keep separated if you need them to last a few days.  Most important with smelts is constant temp........COLD.
