just get a portable soft pack and youll be set .
or build a box to house it and build a bracket for your puck , good thing about a soft pack is power/battery and transducer is all contained and you wont have to take your brackets off your boat.

The 140c may not be the best fish finder for ice fishing but it's better than no fish finder at all.  Use what you have till you can afford a flasher.

If you want to get the most out of the ice fishing experience, and more importantly see yourself ice fishing for years to come.

Then get a flasher.

I fished for years without a flasher. I recently got one and it has changed the way I ice fish. It helps with sounding for traps if you set them and it tells you if you are wasting your time jigging at a hole. Check depth before even drilling. Shows you the type of bottom you have for species of fish.

While I will never say "I should of gotten one of these years ago", I will say that it dramatically increases your chances to see fish, which increases your chances of catching fish.
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming, "Wow! What a RIDE!"--Hunter S. Thompson
