bow fishing
« on: Jan 10, 2014, 07:17 PM »
I know people spear fish for pike and sturgeon.  Have u ever heard of anyone blowfish through the ice.  Is it legal?  It must be.  With my new big hub shanty I was thinking it might be fun.

Never seen anyone do it.  You would have to have a pretty decent sized shanty and hole, you might have trouble shooting straight down.  And getting your arrow out of the mud, depending on depth.  Also not sure if it's legal.

Seems like it would be cool.  My shanty is 90" x 90" x 80" you could shoot shoot a bow in there easy.

Can I use my rifle?  I know I can't use it south of Bay City but if I'm up north I should be able to.

Rough species you can. Including channel cats now that they opened up the season year round. But no pike >:( wanted to use a spear gun on them a few years back. Unfortunately thats illegal for pike too. And is only legal on rough fish in Washtenaw county on the Halfmoon chain.  Tell me that ain't a strange one!!! ???
