somebody forgot to tell the fish then.  I got out at 6:30 for eyes and perch all I caught was a rockbass, fished till about 10 then moved in for some strategizing and marking spots for future reference if you know what I mean. maybe i should have gill fished  lol

Fished today with Fasttimeracing and he put a whooping on me.  Only fihsed 2 holes and was in my shanty because of the wind.  I hate fishing that way unless sight fishing.  Fish were stacked all morning and kept 16 and he must have had 40+ when I left and we were within 20 feet of each other!  I must have lost 15 crappie that I had hooked and they just kept pulling off about 2/3 the way up.  I was using a size 18 ice fly I tied and probably should have loosened my drag so the tiny hook would not pull out.  I must have caught 100 gills that were too small to keep and changed lures about 8 times.  Everything I tried worked, but the better fish kept coming off.  Was not my day, but at least i only have to clean 16.  I left at 12:15 and they were still biting every drop of the lure.  It would get within 6 foot of bottom and they were fighting over it.

It was a tough bite after the sun made an appearance!!  Put a few nice crappie on the ice then biters turned into lookers.  I tried 3 different lakes with the same results, tied on several jigs with same results. I might try to get out in the morning, have to see what the weather is doing first.
