I keep forgetting my waxies at home so I've been using a spoon (PK flutterfish, J&S slender spoon, Swedish pimple, Lindy flying rattlin spoon, etc.) to call'em in. If they wont bite the spoon I swap rods and drop down a small tungsten jig with a soft plastic tail in place of my usual wax worms. If they don't bite the jig then I'm doing something wrong.
