Clinton area

Hi I'm new to the Clinton area my girlfriend has been begging me to go fishing was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance for any help or advice

Heard some fish were biting at Willow in clinton, its the backwater area of Willow Island pretty much right in downtown clinton on Discovery Trail.

South lake in Sabula and Rock Creek south of Camanche are a couple more places with relatively easy access. I've heard some people fish the marina in Camanche but I've never been out there.

On the Illinois side there's Mickelsons landing and the Big Slough area, both near Thomson. It's been slow lately, was at Big Slough today, fished most of the day with a buddy and only had 6 perch between us.
