Thinking about heading up there this weekend. Do you think it would be worth it? Iv never been up there since I am still new to hardwater but it sounds like it would be a blast! Any pointers as to what to tie on and any general areas to try would be greatly appreciated.

if I was going to go again this weekend would be the last weekend.i was fishing 300 40 400yrds to the west of the main dock.there was a lot of guys fishing both side of the main boat ramp.i try and fish in the 3 to 4ft of water.you want to be able to see the bottom.i am sure you could use any sort of jig or spoon.i have been fishing it for over 15 years and I have allways used orange or pink jigs.i try and use a 3/16 or a 5/15 jig.i was using the 1/4oz jig but it is a bit big.i like to tip my jig with a maggot or little red worm for scent.most times you snag all your fish but once and awhile a few fish will slam it.it is nice to have a 10in hole.try and keep your line at the top half of your hole that way if they swim closer to you,you can move jig towards ya and snag them good.i am not a expert but I have taken my fair share of them over the years.in years past me and buddys have iced over 100 in a day.i hope this helps.if you have any questions let me know.hope you have a good outing.
