Heh PG crew... Pitbell, Whiskey, Fishnutz. Where you all hiding? Ice is just around the corner. Time for a get together. I see tbone at work. Says he knows you guys.

Well you tell me when gravepit is frozen up and I'll meet ya there with a couple buddies. I'm going to be on that lake as soon as it's safe to stand on. I hope whiskey, pitbell and fishnutz show up around here. Whiskey takes good pictures....be nice to see some more big fishies

Gravelpit is frozen 8) I was there last night after dark and it has at least 3" around the outside edges and when I threw a stick out it slid almost halfway across and never found water. It's going to be soon.... I was amazed that it has that much ice already. If it keeps raining on the ice and freezing at night I'll definitely be on by next weekend! Perfect skating ice right now (little thin though!)

Thats good enough for me and I'm 240 lbs. Just wrap your float tube around you Kris if youre worried. I've gone on ice with 2 inches and it was sagging a bit but first ice is nice fishing and I didn't want to waste it. I did go thru on 1.5 inches but had the floater/survival suit on and just used my ice picks to pull myself back on top.  Nice to hear the lakes are freezing back home. I'm still in Ontario but will be home soon. My cousins have another week of hunting and will be glad to see me go home. They however want me to leave the horseshoe here in Ontario. Shot 3  bucks,  2 wolves and a fisher that was bugging his chickens. Looking forward to getting on ice.

Yeah I wouldn't go on Gravelpit lake yet. I walked out about 6 feet from shore and it is springy. I bounced a few times and she cracked on me and really started sagging. I retreated quickly. Weather forecast is above freezing till Monday. That sucks

Kris You said that Gravelpit has 3 inches? What kinda mesuring tool did you use to mesure the ice so precisely at 3 INCHES ? ? ? ? ? I have a good idea Mr.3inch man  :roflmao:Good to see ya fellas again.

I'll let you get away with that one whiskey! There was around 3" at the edge of the lake but that was about 2 weeks ago. Since then I've been told it opened up again. And now she's frozen TGF tells me.  8) I'm hoping to be on saturday morning. Good freeze last night and again tonight. Hopefully it doesn't warm up too much and I'll be able to get on. TGF can you check friday night? Good to see you back
