first time out today

Went to local private pond east of waterloo today, bout 6 inches of clear ice. Caught 10 gills in a half hour. Ice fishing here I come!!!

I was able to get out this afternoon with a couple buddies.  We were on 5" in Boone county.  Ice was very solid and the fishing was fairly good.  We have gained a good amount of ice and lakes that were open at the beginning of this cold snap are looking to be in very good shape.  Tight lines all

New here but figured I'd chip in. Got off work late today and only had 1/2 an hour of daylight here near riverside. Figured I would get out for the first time. Checked my own pond and it had and 3 or 4 inches. Caught about 8 nice gills and teeny tiny bass. On my phone posting this and don't know how to post the picture I took of one of the gills. Just nice to be back on hard water. Good luck everyone

I noticed your all new here welcome aboard and the fishing is starting to get good but be careful the ice is different from on spot to another

I finally scratched the itch today. Went and got some tasty trout at moorland.
