Spikes
« on: Mar 15, 2006, 03:01 PM »
Anybody actually thought about where spikes come from?  Has anybody heard anything about how to breed them?  Just wondering how the bait farms raise them.  Seems like you would need a whole bunch of flys flying around and laying eggs on some kind of meat or something.

actully cow crap! i think they're a barn fly. they are bigger than a house fly and they have that blue/green shine to them. I dont know? It would be cool to have your own spike supply!

A few years back, I accidentally left a container of them in my garage.  When I found them in the spring, there were a bunch of flies buzzing around inside.

Just don't do that with wax worm.  I hear that they are bee larvae!
