Inspection camera for fishing???
« on: Oct 21, 2013, 09:44 PM »
My wife says I am cheap.  I say I am thrifty.  My idea is to use a standard inspection camera while ice fishing.  They have a high resolution screen, a 40" waterproof probe, LED lights and even recording capabilities.  We usually fish on 24" of ice or so, so the probe should be long enough and it has a better battery life than the traditional fishing cameras.  Looks to be smaller and more portable too.  Has anyone else tried this or am I just dreaming???

Might work if you're fishing in 5' of water.  Other than that I'd really rather have my 50' of cord to get the camera down to depth I'm fishing.
I'm a man, but I can change, If I have to, I guess.
