boysen or pactola?

little torn on where to try out this week was going to head to pactola for some lakers or pike, but am now having thoughts of trying bosysen... are they biting any better at boysen? haven't heard or seen many good things about boysen.

which lake would you guys suggest?

Well you're talking about different fish species... Pactola will be packed because of the state record recently landed.  Still you have to know how to fish it.  Throw some traps out for pike and jig for lakers.  Boysen is hit or miss as well but if the walleye are on (which seems to be the exception) then let er' buck...

think its gonna be pactola wait for softer waters for the walleye.

may i ask what a "trap" is for northern? had read somewhere 4" tubes(white) had been working on northern over there.

I think he was meaning tipups I know some folks call em traps. Roosters over in rapid sells nice minnows for there and they are affordable and they also have a nice selection of jigs and such.

well fished pactola two days first fished near where the record came out in 60-80ft on monday had zero bites.

tue tried for northern in 20ft roughly had four hits, two hooked and iced only this one(he was like 23 3/4"so hes still there).  all action was last hour of day and on 4-6" shiners from roosters with a large spit shot 18" above them and just suspended off bottom.
