I went out today on a pond in killingly for 5 hours with only jigging rods. I caught 3 small pickerel and a small perch. I had two fish get off, one that pulled a lot of drag, guessing it was a good size bass or pickerel. I started out on the north end of the pond, and there was only 3'' black ice and about 6'' slush on top. Probably wasn't very smart to be fishing on such thin ice, but i'm pretty stupid lol. I only picked up one pickerel, so i decided to go down to the the south end where there was 4''-5'' black ice with the same 6'' of slush on top. kinda slow 5 hours, but it was a nice warm day on the ice so i can't complain!
