Thanks fellas. I was certainly sweating it, both figuratively and literally :) Luckily a friend was around to help or it would have been a total loss. Amazing in that at 3 pm Thurs it was ok, and at 7:30 am Fri, she took the plunge.

id say there wasn't enough ice regardless of when it went in lol

As the description in the video caption reads :)  9"-Plenty of ice, however, the tethers broke and the runner slid across three jig holes(spanning 5 feet) and with the 30+ mph winds it created a wind trap- forcing the surface water into the holes thus widening them. Always a wise guy in the bunch :)
