There is good access from Warner out to the mouth, Chalet rd. access had been drifted in for the month, but it looked like many trucks were using it this Sunday, also thanks to whoever was out with the trax on the older chevy, you really smoothed out the road from Warner:)

Warner gets my vote. I've seen some nasty hang ups at Chalet this year. Warner has been smooth sailing. With a ATV or sled you could park and access via Chalet but unless something has drastically changed in the last week or so, even a 4x4 wouldn't be a good idea at Chalet.

There was a trail plowed off of chalet but might be blown in now thats why you wouldve seen people going that way sunday

Where is Warner Rd. in comparison to Chalet Beach? I am new to Lake Winnipeg fishing, only ever access by Chalet... was thinking I was out of luck til some snow melts... Would a quad be okay right now? or is there still too much snow?

Was out on LW yesterday, Warner Access was drifted in got on at the Chalet Beach Rd parking lot got as far as the sal. channel couldnt get any further, 8-1 one eye and 1 pike very slow, getting any further could be an issue???

your more than likely to get stuck with anything other than a snowmobile or truck with tracks.
