Anyone fishing the tourny in ludington? Hamlin lake..feb 2? Its called the michigan ice open..looking for a quality partner..

i doubt they will, although idk it has been very cold and with hamlin being so close to the lake the lake snow should have blown right over it so there might be some ice

Fished there Sunday and had are snowmobile on upper and there was 6-9 inches. Didnt check the narrows was told only 2-3 there. Im sure the ice will be fine and if anything make it better. About 8in of snow on the top that we can only hope melts. It was a slushy mess!! Cant wait to fish it this weekend.

I am driving from NY for this tournament, I hope it is still on.  I would think with the falling temps tomorrow night everything should lock up tight again.  If not we will still be doing some fishing somewhere, can't wait!

yes if there is 6-9 it should be fine its only a one day warm up then sharply cold again.... but keep in mind hamlin is part of a major river system and that river had to soar with all this sno melt and rain

My buddy was on the lake last night with his quad, he said the ice was fine. I'm just waiting for an update from him today , if the ice survived I'm hitting the road north for the tournament.

Just got word from the ludington chamber that the tournament is a go  and they're letting us ride on!
