Kenosia
« on: Jan 29, 2013, 06:26 PM »
Fished Kenosia in Danbury for 2 hours before dark.   Slow action,  some small perch and crappie.  Ice is 8 inches near town beach to 12" on the back end near trailer park.

I seen a report else where, and a guy did very well

I seen at least 4 vehicles there today around 3pm

I actually watched a guy unpack his gear from the truck to go out, maybe it was you

I seen someone out in front of the main beach

someone walked out toward the right from the playground launch and then others out toward the other launch and the "lake house"
Next time you go to cwood let me know how many fish you didnt catch.

Yea, I parked near the playground and unpacked.   I got there late so I was trying to beat the rain.   I went right for the back end to the right, some good crappie spots around there and worked my way back up toward beach.

u guys think the ice will survive for the weekend?
Fishing is a sport in which thinking is involved it is the covenant between nature and man, mother and son. Through fishing only can we recreate the link that has been tarnished throughout the existence of the modern era of mankind. Fishing is the answer yet people ignore it and consider it a "stupid" thing to do. What do these people do instead? They stare in front of color changing boxes. Is that life? My life is fishin

lol, I thought that too, **censored** is that guy doing in the van.

Yea, around the beach and to the right I can say yes the ice will survive.   I was not over near the state launch near the office building so can't say how thick the ice was in that area.  I was drilling close to a foot in some spots in the back,  that ice will survive a short warm spell.    The temp is going back down by weeks end.

Went by the lake this morning. It looks like near the state lot it opened up some, I would recommend going out of the Danbury park beach area launch until the ice can be checked near the state launch.

Id really like to fish Kenosia via ice. I fish it in the spring and summer and rake in the fish. If its anything like that I'll be happy! Ive got a trip Sunday (tomorrow) planned out. Maybe well put that on the list of places to go. :D Thanks for the update and glad you iced something...
