Quaddick Report & Question on Beach Pond
« on: Jan 22, 2013, 06:12 PM »
I've gone to Quaddick twice this year with a few friends by the boat launch/beach area.  Ice has been 3-6 inches.  We had some good action.  Counting both days, we caught 11 pickeral, 2 nice bass, and 2 good sized pout too.  No pike though.

We were thinking of going to Beach Pond in Voluntown to try for walleye.  Anyone know how the ice is there?
Thanks

Never been out there but looking to maybe hit the ice for the first time out that way.  Only fish for pike and don't eat what I catch.  Would be curious about the ice report Pikeanator

checked small side yesterday afternoon walked out 30 feet . Didn't punch any holes but seemed to have 3" but still was open under the road - big side had a ton of open holes and a crappy ice pushed up by the wind along the beach

I stopped by quaddick today. Open water near the causeway but ice was 3-5" in several spots I checked. Saw a few guys out in the middle section and someone in the souther side but I did not venture out too far...as always, be safe!!
