Leading Edge of The Cold Front
« on: Jan 20, 2013, 03:51 PM »
The phone was ringing off the hook, and the whole house awoke to me yelling " we are late. " DLAV was waiting for us. #$%% after a half of an hour of putting myself together, lol.... placing my eyeballs back in their sockets, we hit a new section of the lake. No :)nothing to do with drinking. Up the previous morning at 3:30 pulling bait traps, meeting and setting people up, then fishing, took it's toll on me ;) Well maybe a little wine too ;D

We were in search of rainbows, but they were no where to be found. Brief flurries of fish and nothing special. However at 1 pm, shortly after DLAV departed, things changed. The sky darkened, the winds started howling and the big bite was on. The "magicians",  Troutski, FlagsUp!!! waved their PK Lures wand and whohlah..we were jigging machines for 3 hours.  All fish were in caught in 35 feet of water, more were caught however, we kept these for Game Time snacks.

Looks like another great day on BIP    I was luucky enough to catch the first 1/2 hour or so of it yesterday, about 11 it started on the big pond.  The wind had my jig stick bouncing so much it was tuff to feel the hits LOL  But they sure did turn on fast

Hey Tom thanks for another great time out. Looks like things definitely picked up shortly after I left. Even though the flags weren't popping hard while I was there it was quite a treat watching you gather yourself after I woke you up. LMFAO!!!! On vacation the next two weekends but will be back for the Rotory Derby! Tight lines everyone!
