average blank with below average choice of guides.  Mine got downgraded to a bobber rod after one trip then i got rid  of it all together not too long after that.  Might be a decent rod if they had single foot alconite guides instead of those monster ones they used.  I just felt like the big guides bogged down the feel and action of the rod

I've got a 28" MH, and topped it with a spring bobber. I've used it for the last couple years. Loved it so much I just picked up the 27" M that i put my Black Betty 6061 on with a spring bobber. I've only used that rod once, but love it. Love the big eyes so they don't freeze up.

I use to use the Ugly stick ice rods, but after fishing with the Fenwick thats all I plan on getting from here on out. I still use an ugle stick in my Jaw Jacker though.

X2!  There are much nicer rods out there for the same price or less.  The guides really put a damper on the usefullness of the rod.

I have a 27'' medium light with a shimano sienna 500. While it is definitely on the light side, I love it so far, sensitive tip and decent backbone for panfish. Love having a reel seat, unlike a lot of guys

i have owned ice blues good cheap rods for $10
gsx gander guide series extream rods $30 almost same as the fenwicks i think fen wick would be better.

schooly's 24 and a 30 inch ul 's you can see it hit bottom and see it reach bottom with tunsten jigs the rod tip will lift up when you hit bottom ultra soft and about $20 each.

and one of the fineest rods i have touched yet is the ice slamer rods from ice hopper sold at sports mens direct for  $20
these are simular to north land higher endrod the ice slammer rods are. and they got a higher end series too...at sport mens direct

I used a fenwick all last year.  28" med.  Love the rod its not as nice as my new white out but I put it in a middle class rod.  I think if they put some lighter eye lets on it that it would a awesome rod.  its a great blank and I like the handle and I like I can jig a 1/8 or lighter spoon on it and have a little feeling with it and it can handle a size 7 rap.  nice back bone with a great tip.
