Well, I will be there next weekend.  Plan on fishing 2 or 3 days.  Will be set up off the dam.  If you see one or two white dodge pick ups then that is us.  I hope the fishing picks up a little by then.  I need a year like last year for kokes.  Last year I think we totaled over 100 kokes and a good 20-30 trout(most returned) in a total of 6 fishing days between 5 people.  But that was the end of December, not the end of January.  I guess we shall see.  If your in the area stop by and say hi.

Five of us fished for about 4 hours and caught a total of 11 fish.  6 kokes and 5 trout(1 cutthroat, 1 brookie, 3 small rainbows).  the three rainbows were released to grow up.  The other two trout would have been released if they weren't wimps, and bleeding everywhere.  Not great fishing but not bad either.  Really enjoyed being on the ice.  Will be back out again tomorrow and Monday.

How is the snow/slush situation. Trying to figure out where to take my nephew this weekend but don't want to fight the slush too much.

Went out again yesterday and today.  Yesterday had bad wind and no fish.  Today was great.  A light breeze and no slush and about 8-10" of frozen snow because of the 10 degree temp last night.  A good 24-28" of ice.  Three of us caught our limit of kokes in 3 hours along with one trout.  We fished by the boat launch yesterday with nothing, and by the dam today.  I have never caught anything at shanty town, just over by the dam.  Next weekend could be a different story though.  So for three days of fishing we ended with 18 kokes and 8 trout.  Not a bad couple days of fishing.
