I second on tyler. Drill a hole every 15 feet in about 8 fow and if theres nothing biting after 5-10mins move on. I got about 20 total today and kept 6 to eat. All about 10-13 inches with a nice 14 incher. I also got a crappie today mixed in with the perch, i think the fish follow the pickerel in there and hope for scraps from what the pickerel eats.

What do you consider good size? My buddy thinks 11" is good size...where as i think13-14" is good size...that is the reason i ask....everyone has a different opinion of "good size".

That being said.....Candlewood would be one your best bets for quantity and quality if you can get lucky and find them..

That is really the only place i can think of for numbers.....sure any body of water can cough them up....just not in numbers...

Im not too familiar with your area but i do hear alot of stuff from blaine on the ct river and one of his videos he caught probably two 5 gallon buckets full of perch. And i think a 12inch perch is a good sized eater but im used to catching 14-15inchers on my boat in candlewood so it depends on season and body of water im fishing.

I have heard Staffordville has good size perch and good numbers too. I've never caught one there though. I only ever go bass fishing there using top water frogs in the summer time. Also I had a friend fish up the road at New City who caught a 2 lb yp this summer. The photos are impressive. there are plenty of perch in New City Pond also. Best of luck
