The gf and I are heading up tomorrow. Anyone going to be there? We will be in matching coats and sitting on orange buckets.

I'm headed out there with my 3 yr old shortly. Taking the green quick flip 2 and I'll wear my ice shanty hoodie. Hope to see you out there. I am going to walk in from the south end.

Cool, we are over by the guy with the plywood. The wind is ripping pretty hard.

We ended up leaving due to the wind. Did as good as Friday I half the time so that was good. Looking at getting a shanty now.

We were looking at that one actually. The gf likes to move around a lot when it isn't windy, but that wind today convinced her that we should get one.

That W will do that to you
I've been really happy with my QF3 but don't let the 3 fool ya I can only fit 2 if that and its tight to fish 4 poles if you both got 2 pole permits. Wish I would have got the QF4 but it came out the next year after I bought mine

You ever try and run a tipup with waxworms on it? The gf wants to try it. I have used them for perch before but with minnows, which you can't do here.

If you are getting one to use in the wind I would definitely avoid the popout and get a flip-style. I own a couple of each and the popouts are nice in certain situations but for moving and using in the wind a 2 or 3 man flip would be perfect. Easy to set up in the wind and quick to move to new spots. You can still fish four holes if you choose to....

Good points Hof, we are on a bit of a budget so that is the major factor right now.

Love to have me a flip-up, was a little too much at the time, but yeah they are super nice. If I drop 2 stakes in before I pull any of the hubs, I haven't had any issues. Before I figured that out though, it was a complete PITA.
