We should all get together some time. Just a thought. It seems there are a bunch of other states that due and we dont. Mabe some one who is a good planer can figure something out.

I know this was tried last year, and did not work out. I work every other weekend but would be interested depending on when and where. Maybe a mod could make this a sticky so when the other Wisconsin members come back they would notice it.

Sounds like fun, we tried last year but could not get guys to commit to a date. We should pick a lake that is near the center of the state and a time of year that we know there should be good ice.

Have tried this a couple times to no avail. Was just coming on though to suggest it, but you best me to it haha. Would somewhere around mosinee work? ? that seems to be fairly close to the middle of the state. Did anyone else have any suggestions?

Why don't we get suggestions on several lakes, and then see who is willing to come and decide on a lake at that point. If 10 people are coming, and 9 are from the Madison / Milwaukee area, and 1 from Sparta, it would make sense to have it closer to Madison / Milwaukee, just a thought. Or maybe plan 2 get togethers, one for the southern part of the state, and one for the northern part. Opinions needed please!

Western Wisconsin is getting a strong pull haha quite a few members from our area now or not to far. Chetek Chain?

All are good ideas. The one thing I would say is let's define our goals.

1) I would think is the get together itself. So it should be in a user friendly location.

2) Do we just want to get together, do we want an action lake, or quality lake?

3) Do we want it on a supermarket lake (one that everybody fishes), so we are not messing up someones honey hole, or do we want a more secluded spot so we can enjoy the get togeter without disturbing the others fishing?

Just some thoughts to help in the planning.

The thing is WI is a big state. I am most likely not going to want to drive more than one hour away from home with the gas prices. I have several good lakes within a 10 mile radius of my house. I think regional get together are the only way to get a good turn out. We could probably fit about 5 or 6 of those states out east into Wisconsin.

Yeah that was what my thought was with the Western WI get together a lot more feasible to drive an hour and fish then drive two or three hours to fish and hope you catch something.

maybe a some sponsers would get involved is setting up a tounement or two for charitys like goodwill or the vets.

We are in the process of making a second western Wisconsin get together, end of January or in February
