Find your nearest Herb Phillipson's....they usually have some military surplus mittens.  Bought a pair couple of years ago..couple of hand warmers and never been cold.

I like the Military Surplus wool gloves, been using them for years and always carry a couple of pairs. Herb Phillipson's carry both black and green.

I have a terrible time trying to fish with gloves on.  Is there any out there that are easier to fish with than others?

One thing i have always wanted to use is one of those hand muffs you belt around your waist. if you were jigging this wouldnt work but it would be a good way to warm the hands up after getting them wet and putting back in your gloves

I have the Ice Armor and the Arctic Armor. I find the Arctic Armor to be the nicest i've ever had both in warmth and fit. I use my ice armors as back up now but never seem to need them anymore. Down fall is they cost $40 on their web site so I don't know how much your willing to spend?  :icefish:

Hunting or fishing...... these are the ticket..... I will go home and get mine if I ever find that I've forgotten it!!!  Stick a few handwarmer packs in there and all you might need are some simple fleece gloves to shield your hands from the wind.......

Glomitts from wal mart i cut a slit in the thumb so i can tie a lure or whatever with them on. I also have the heater muff that goes around the waist and put a hand warmer in there my hands never get cold. Fyi u can buy those hand warmers in bulk at bj's 50cents a piece

Yup. Military surplus wool gloves are the way to go. My hands never really get too cold so I really never need more. If its super cold out I have a pair of oversized HT polar mitts ($20) that I wear over the wool ones

Try putting on some latex gloves as a base layer inside other gloves...

I also have Ice Armor gloves that work well.  Problem is if you get them wet, they take a while to dry and often find myself turning them inside-out.

Wool works for me. Warm even when wet and dry out fast.

I've been using the Ice Armor Edge gloves for a few years, they seem to hold up well and are very warm for the size glove they are. Those end of season deals are great, but their well worth the $34 retail price.
They work well for snowmobiling too.

I have been using wool fingerless gloves inside the rubberized polar mittens for about 30 thirty years. Same pair of mittens. My hands are always cold ( even as I type this, poor circulation) but they stay warm with this combo.
Just be careful when you wipe your nose with the back off the mitten. If you have ever seen this type of mitten you will know what I mean.
