Should I tie my line to a leader or can I tie my line right to a swivel then a hook?

Hey guy! It's Paul, your guide from last year's Groupon.
I love seeing guys on here who pick the sport up after they take a trip with me. It really validates the work that I do out there because afterall What I am really trying to do is expose people to the sport who might not otherwise get out there.
You need info just post a thread and you'll find about every opinion known to man on here.

Stay safe out there and tight lines! Welcome to the shanty!

This is what I do for my line. I use a braided ice fishing line and tie it off to a barrel swivel. Then, take some flurocarbon leader and tie that to the other end of the swivel, then tie that end to the hook. This way, the fish dont see the line in the water leading to the hook. It is invisible to them!
Good Luck out there!!

Hey Paul how's it going? Yea I loved it, thanks for setting that up and showing us how to do it.  If you ever have any events going on or know of that you  might do let me know and also any advice. Thanks. & I'll try and stop by the shop sometime.

And thanks Marrocco,, I seen some people talking about a leader and wasn't sure. Thanks for the input.
