Strawberry reservoir
« on: Dec 29, 2012, 07:43 PM »
What other species besides trout are present? I have never ice fished in Utah before so I am going at it a little blind. Any info is appreciated! Looking to head over there this next week sometime.

Not much else except the chubs, the bear lake cutty's will provide plenty of hours excitement if you can get on them. I hear a few of the bays are providing some good fishin right now  :woot: so im just curious you location is alaska/utah, im taking it you just arrived here?

Cool. How is the access to the lake? They usually hit jigs? I also couldn't find anything in the Utah regs regarding tip ups, do they count as your one line you can use?

Right now access is pretty good as the snow has not gotten to deep YET! Jigs work best and some days its gotta be movin and others just a dead stick, the fish will let you know, experiment. This time of year they will be still feeding pretty heavily. A tip up will count for your line so unless you go for the 2 pole permit they are prety much useless. I always get the 2 pole, wish they would just allow 5 like idaho  ??? its not like i can troll 1 pole in a hole 8in wide, lol. Check out the R&C board
