Wehrspahn ice

Havent had a chance to go out yet this year.  Auger gased and ready to go.  Any reports on the ice?

I was out there form 3-7pm there were five open water patches over by the dam biggest one probably 6' wide but was iced over when I left at 7. Crappie bite was hot iced around 30-35 between 3 guys in 2 hours then shut off. As we were packing up my buddy did hook into a 10lb catfish. The ice did seem real soft as we were drilling so use caution.

Fished about 100 yards east of the boat ramp from 5 til 7 caught 6 small bluegil on wax worms. Ice was pretty solid but quiet tonight. Fair guess ice was about 5 to 7 inches... Hand augers are always fun. Overall decent day had a decent bite and then nothing after dark.
