Brushy Creek, Briggs Woods, Gladbrook, Union Grove, or Casey lake

I know its a lot of options but looking to get out next weekend around Waterloo with some of the family, does anyone have a suggestions on the best option out of these 4? First time I have been out in a few years and would like to get on some fish. Not looking for any honey hole but suggestions are appreciated, really fishing for slab pannies but a few lunker walleyes or bigger sport fish are always fun.
Thx

I fished all these lakes over the summer with the exception of Briggs Woods. However, as you know early ice can often bring a feeding frenzy with any species of fish.
Gladbrook has some decent crappie in the 9 inch range. You will really have to work anything over 10. There is some larger game fish in Gladbrook but its been years since I have pulled any out of the ice. I would focus my attention just south of the Jetii near the beach parking lot. There is few brush piles over there if you can find them.
Casey Lake was rough this year. I do know the best place to target is typically near the damn which on the SE end.
Brushy is a very unique lake. Early ice on Brushy has always been really good. The pan fish at Brushy are typically larger and the lake is full of some good sized game fish. I would focus on my attention on this lake and hole hop around structure in the areas around 20 FT. Brushy should have 4-6 inches by mid next week.
Dike may be another place to try. This borrow pit was dug over 10 years ago and the crappies are really starting to get some size to them now. 10 crappies is a definable possibility.

Why can't I just go to work and think that I've been fishing all day?

Nice thats what I like to hear I will be out there as well. I didn't have much free time today but fished Kennedy for a couple hours and caught a handful of crappie.
