I Gotta Vent!

WHY would ANYONE go onto less than 2" of ice without a spud? OR having someone a head of you without checking ice depth??? Just because there is a track going across the lake doesn't mean it is safe!  Plus guys leave your power augers at home,you can darn near kick a hole in the ice...
   Please give me 6 feet of space, I know I am catching fish and you want to fish my spot but the ice is THIN!!!! I have a good locator for a reason,my gear is top notch and I am a good icefisherman,been doing it a very long time,Just because you crowd me doesn't mean you will catch fish!!!! Soon,my stranger friend (?) you will learn my patients with IDIOTS and my anger problems will surface and I will leave, IF you follow me you will get a trip off the ice without taking a step!!!! One other thing,IF you are too lazy to check the ice conditions by getting out of your car,don't ask me cause I  AINT talking!!!! They are bitting with thier mouths in about 35 feet of water,ice is about 23 inches,please drive out...!!! I do feel a little better.

I HATE BEING CROWDED......thankfull y up here we have lots of isolated water that people wouldnt normally think would be good spots in the winter

I agree! My wife wants to learn to ice fish... I guess I don't have a problem with this, but had to explain to her why early ice is a bad time to teach someone up close as it just makes it risky for both of us.

Two years back I drove on the ice and parked my truck about 12 ft from my shack and my buddy drove his truck and parked it about 15 ft away from the shack on the other side. Out of no where a mini van comes out on the ice and stops about four ft from the shack, rolls down the window and asks, "how much ice is out here". I figured they would get the hint that it may be enough to drive on, but maybe not enough to make it a parking lot!
