Ponds freezing over..
« on: Nov 19, 2012, 11:50 PM »
All of the ponds in the area where I hunt were frozen over on Opening Day (deer season last Saturday). One actually supported my weight (250lbs, without hunting gear). Southern Albany County. Ice is a'comin!

Skim on all the ponds (without Geese) on opening day in Schoharie county, no where near enough to step on.

Man I cant wait!!!  Sick of the ludachrist crowds on the LO tribs and not enough water to get the fish going on the FL tribs.  Not to mention my son has been chomping at the bit since August.  Makes it that much harder when your 7 year old keeps talking about it.....

Just some skim ice in the mornings here in the southern tier that I have seen so far.  Hope the cold temps predicted for the coming week hold true!!!
